2014 was an AMAZING year for me! So much happened!!
In March I was chosen to represent my college as Miss GMIT 2014 and took part in the Miss University competition later in the year. I was over the moon that I won the title as I’d been freelance modelling and doing photo-shoots for two years beforehand and was so happy to be finally getting some recognition for it.
In March I also took part in the ‘Miss Galway’ competition. We did a promotional shoot in the Stock Exchange Galway styled by New Look which was really good fun and the photos were taken by Julia Dunin which were featured in the Craic Galway magazine and the local papers
In April I took part in GTI Fashion Show, which is an annual Fashion Show where the models do a walk from GTI through shop street and back, and then a fashion show in the House Hotel that evening. I modeled for the designer Sorcha Styles.
The final of Miss Galway was also held in April and I was nervous and excited to be taking part in the final, especially walking the catwalk in front of so many people, but I was delighted that I did it, it was a real adrenaline rush!!
Also in April I took part in Miss University in Dublin as Miss GMIT! At this stage I had a good bit of experience walking on the catwalk so I wasn’t as nervous. I really loved taking part in Miss University and met such amazing people.
In May I was Miss An Post Ras for Stage 1 in Roscommon town for the annual An Post Ras, greeting the winners and presenting them with flowers and congratulating them! I was also featured on the RTE news getting photos taken with the winners
In June, I celebrated our First year Anniversary with my boyfriend
In June I finished college after five years with a Bachelor of Business Honours Degree and started working in River Island Galway!
In July I found out that I had won the title of Miss Roscommon and would be competing for the Miss Ireland title in a few weeks. I was absolutely over the moon that I got the chance to represent my county and to take part in the competiton. I was obsessed with Miss Ireland ever since I remember watching Rosanna Davison at Miss World winning the Miss World crown, she really inspired me.
The Abbey Hotel Roscommon, Roscommon Racecourse and Molloy’s Bakery and Fine Food Emporium Roscommon kindly sponsored me for the competition.
I set up this blog at the end of August after much consideration, and haven’t looked back since, I LOVE blogging
In November I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business degree specializing in Marketing.
Looking back I can’t believe what a busy, eventful year it’s been to say the least, I loved every minute of it and I wouldn’t change a thing
In December a few days before Christmas my granny passed away which was really sad, and it was strange not having her around this Christmas.
She was the best Granny ever but I’m sure she’s in a happy place now. RIP xx
Thanks for reading my Year In Review I hope you enjoyed it
And never give up on your dreams, wishes, hopes, visions! Things don’t happen overnight it takes determination, effort and hard work, and learning not to care what people think of you. I hope all your wishes for 2015 come true.
Happy New Year
I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings!
Keep tuned to see what I’ve got planned for 2015 😉
