Athlone Fashion Trail Blogger’s Breakfast at Colm Quinn BMW
I was delighted to have been chosen as one of the 25 VIP bloggers to attend the Athlone Fashion Trail. The Athlone Fashion Trail consisted of a VIP Bloggers Breakfast in Colm Quinn BMW Athlone with champagne, before being chauffeured up Athlone town in luxury BMW cars, and attending a series of pop up fashion shows modeled by Catwalk Modelling agency in selected shops and Athlone Town Centre. To top it all off we were told we would be enjoying lavish cocktails and food in the Radisson Blu Athlone at the end of the day. Spoilt or what!!
Colm Quinn BMW VIP Bloggers Breakfast
On the first stop of the Galway Fashion Trail I had visited Colm Quinn BMW in Galway for the VIP Bloggers Breakfast and I was amazed at the effort and extra attention to detail that Colm and his team provided for us.

Colm Quinn BMW Athlone
As soon as I arrived in Colm Quinn BMW Athlone for breakfast at 9.30am I collected my name badge, passed our goodie bags itching to know what was inside and went to meet up with the rest of the ITWBN bloggers for breakfast and to catch up. As the main sponsors of the event Colm Quinn BMW had as usual pulled out all the stops.
Pictured L to R – Aimee from Aimeemariehayden.com, Kerrie from Bella & Vogue, Ciara from ciaraswalsh.com, Shona from Sho Style, myself, Rebecca from Lipstick, Lace and Life, and Amie from Floralesque.
At 11am we were chauffered into Athlone town in the Colm Quinn 5 series BMW’s to visit the first shop along the Athlone Fashion Trail!
Kadee Bride and Boutique
Kadee Bride and Boutique was our first stop, it was a beautiful shop, and we were greeted with treats and (more!!) champagne. The models from Catwalk Modelling agency did a fasshion show wearing the magnificent bridal gowns from designers such as Suzanne Neville and Temperley London.
The ITWBN VIP Bloggers
Burgess was the second and the last stop of the Athlone Fashion Trail. Burgess is the longest running department store in Ireland which is a huge achievement.
Burgess also gave each of us bloggers a gift voucher which was very kind!
The third stop on the Athlone Fashion Trail was Olivia Danielle. I had heard a lot about Olivia Danielle and the clothing but I have never been in the store. The clothes were fabulous.
We were greeted by the Olivia Danielle team with goodie bags for each blogger – a beautiful cashmere scarf!!
The Fatted Calf – Athlone Town Centre
We were treated to lunch by The Fatted Calf in the Athlone Town Centre, where a separate section was set aside for us with beautiful pink decor, and we also got goodie bags from Tiger and Athlone Town Centre.
The lunch from The Fatted Calf was delicious and we were delighted to refuel before the Athlone Town Centre fashion show was taking place.
Athlone Town Centre
Athlone Town Centre‘s fashion show featured the Catwalk models modelling clothes from Oasis, River Island, and Topshop.
My favourite look was the beautiful pink, black and grey coat from Topshop pictured below.
We all got a goodie bag each from Athlone Town Centre, and a goodie bag each from the Tiger store which is in the Athlone Town Centre!
We all also got a goodie bag each from Boutique Clodagh with a scarf and a voucher worth €25, and then I won a voucher worth €50 in a draw in store!
Nell’s Closet is a boutique on Northgate Street which stocks a variety of labels for all occasions including both Irish and International designers.
This boutique was my favourite, the dresses were absolutely stunning and I will definitely be going back to pick up something nice for a special occasion.
Goodie bag from Nell’s Closet!
Radisson Blu Athlone
At 6pm after a long day of fashion shows and shopping we were brought to the Radisson Blu hotel in Athlone for food and cocktails.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day at the Athlone Fashion Trail, and a big thank you to Sinead and Saibh from Into The West Blogger Network, to Patricia, Nicola and Julieanne from Goldenegg Productions, and to the team at Galway Now Magazine for such a wonderful day, and to all the sponsors.

Trending Number 1 on Twitter
Half way through the day I realised that the hashtag #athlonefashiontrail was trending number one on Twitter!
This was such a huge achievement as during the Fashion Trail was on the same day as the replay of the All Ireland match – Dublin vs Mayo which had caused a lot of controversy and had most of the population travelling to it or watching it.
The match was also trending on Twitter but Athlone Fashion Trail was number 1!!
This really proves the true power of bloggers and how in tune bloggers are at utilising social media as there were only 25 bloggers invited to attend the Fashion Trail.
I am planning to go back to Athlone before Christmas to use my vouchers and to go shopping, since it is not too far from my home house in Roscommon.
I hope you enjoyed reading!
