Galway Races Summer Festival
The Galway Races Summer Festival takes place in Ballybrit Racecourse from Monday 29th of July to Sunday the 4th of August 2019. The Galway Races is one of my favourite weeks of the year!
I love attending the Galway Racing Festival each year to admire the style, glamour, hats and of course the dresses!
Last year I had a busy week for Galway Raceweek and attended Prom to Paddock in the Salthill Hotel on the Monday of the Galway Races. Monday of raceweek is my favourite day to go racing, after Ladies Day of course.
On Thursday of the Galway Races I attended the ‘Most Stylish Lady & Gent Evening’ on Ladies Day at Hotel Meyrick.
Fashion at the Races
I’ve collaborated with PrettyLittleThing and the theme is ‘Fashion at the Races’.
So I’ve chosen three fabulous PrettyLittleThing dresses and one pair of shoes.
This is my take on fashion at the races, I hope you enjoy!
Fashion at The Races Look 1
For my first look I chose a dusty pink lace dress. This is a simple dress and I think this would appeal to a younger audience attending the races and I styled it with two different hats, this hat below and a floral headband. This dress is backless and has lace up detail. I would wear this to the races if I was going for a semi-casual look.
This dress cost €40 and is available here.
Fashion at The Races Look 2
For this look I choose this white show stopping midi figure hugging dress. It’s quite flattering and also really versatile and could be matched to any colour. It would definitely stand out in photos!
I styled it with hats in red, white and pink. I kept my shoes neutral to not take away from the dress. For €35 it’s also so affordable.
This dress is my favourite out of the three looks I have styled and I would wear this on the Thursday – Ladies Day of the Galway Races.
We took the photos for his look down by the Spanish Arch in Galway city, near Quay Street which is one of the busiest streets in Galway over the Galway Races.
This dress costs €35 and is available here.
Fashion at the Races Look 3
For the third look I picked this Monochrome Bandeau Contrast Detail Fishtail Midi Dress. This dress really caught my eye as it’s so unusual. I would wear this outfit to the Monday of the Galway Races.
I would team this dress witha red lip and wear hats, shoes or accessories in black, white, or red for the races. I teamed it with two different hats – one in black and white to math the dress and the other in red. I also got these Black Clear Strap Point Toe Barely There Sandals from PrettyLittleThing to match the dress.
This dress costs €70 and is available here.
These shoes cost €42 and are available here.
Hats for this shoot are by milliner Gillian Duggan Designs and the photographer was James Joyce Photography.
