The A/W Galway Fashion Trail
I was delighted to be invited to the third Galway Fashion Trail which took place on Saturday the 5th of November in Galway city. It was hosted by Into The West Blogger Network (ITWBN), Galway now magazine and Goldenegg Productions.
The day started off with a Bloggers Breakfast in Colm Quinn BMW at 9.30am ahead of 8 fashion shows, before being treated to a luxurious breakfast, taking lots of selfies, and being chauffered uptown in the BMW cars to begin the Fashion Trail.
The eight fashion shows for the Galway Fashion Trail took place in Colette Latchford, Greene’s Shoes featuring Galway Hat Shop, Treasure Chest, Willow, Rococo, Choice, Kilkenny and Harper.
First stop on the Galway Fashion Trail was Colette Latchford Boutique featuring models from Catwalk Modelling agency. Colette Latchford is a boutique focused around weddings, they have dresses and outfits for the mother of the bride and wedding guests. Colette Latchford caters for ages 18 to 90.
Greene’s Shoes featuring Galway Hat Shop
The second stop was Greenes Shoes, in the Corbett Court shopping centre. They have a wide range of footwear and also feature Bourdon Footwear By Amy Huberman. We also headed to Galway Hat Shop to check out their latest designs.
Trying on hats in The Galway Hat Shop! I loved this pink hat!!
The Treasure Chest
The Treasure Chest also held a fashion show with Catwalk models displaying their latest fashions. we got a photo with Mary Bennett the owner, and we were also gifted a gorgeous trinket jewellery holder.
The Treasure Chest was celebrating 50 years in business this year, and joining in the fashion show was NCAD designer Colin Burke who displayed some of his stunning collection, along with hats by Suzie Mahony Designs.
Next we visited Willow Boutique on Mainguard Street. On the last Fashion Trail I bought a beautiful Ted Baker purse as they offered 20% off for purchases during the Fashion Trail. They also have beautiful dresses for all occasions.
We stopped off in Caprice cafe for lunch and tea. I had never been to Caprice cafe and was looking forward to visting the cafe, I had saw a lot of pictures of Instagram and the decor of the cafe was stunning.
We stopped outside Choice Boutique for an obligitary photo before another fabulous fashion show in store featuring models from Catwalk Modelling agency.
All of the bloggers on the Galway Fashion Trail were given a complimentary ring by Dyrberg/Kern which was very generous. Dyberg/Kern compliment rings are sold in Kilkenny stores, and can also be bought online.
I chose a rose gold band with a rose gold topper with a diamond. I can’t wait for it to arrive. I think these rings are a great idea as they are interchangable and would be a great gift for Christmas or as a birthday gift.

The last fashion show of the day was Harper Boutique, Harper Boutique featuring Brid O Driscoll Millinery. Harper is one of my favourite shops in Galway. I bought a dress for a summer wedding in Harper last year and I love it, they have fab dresses.
The Front Door
The Front Door threw a Gin after party for the Galway Fashion Trail with food and cocktails! It was a lovely way to end the day, relax and get a chance to chat to everyone, and catch up on all the tweets.
Thank you to all the shops along the Galway Fashion Trail that put in such hard work to organise this event, it was a huge success.
I’m looking forward to the next one already.
Hope you enjoyed reading,
